As part of its efforts to connect activity tracking with blood glucose, Oura has teamed up with a variety of consumer health services. A new integration will enable you to track your body's response to certain foods with continuous glucose monitors (CGMs). As a result, Oura smart rings can be used in conjunction with CGMs, expanding on blood glucose data and providing more context.

I’ve been spending a lot of time learning how AI like ChatGPT can help you as a fitness professional. I’ve looked at a lot of different types of tech, promising the world, but something about ChatGPT is different. I’ve been an active user for six months and am amazed at what it does and the speed at which it is done. Every day it seems to get better.
It all starts with a prompt. The more specific you are with the prompt, the better.
Here’s a prompt you can try today:
“You are a copywriting expert. Give me 10 titles for blog posts that I can use as a fitness professional. My audience is over 40 former athletes. Make the titles fun and actionable.”
This is what ChatGPT gave back in less than 5 seconds:
1. "From Couch to Champion: How Former Athletes Over 40 Can Regain Their Fitness Mojo"
2. "Kickstart Your Fitness Journey: 5 Must-Try Workouts for Former Athletes Over 40"
3. "The Fountain of Youth: Fitness Secrets for Over 40 Former Athletes"
4. "Breaking the Barriers: Overcoming Fitness Plateaus for Former Athletes in Their 40s and Beyond"
5. "Fit and Fabulous at 40: Fun and Effective Workout Routines for Former Athletes"
6. "Reclaiming Your Competitive Edge: Fitness Tips for Former Athletes Over 40"
7. "Mastering Midlife: Unlocking Your Athletic Potential After 40"
8. "Fitness Unleashed: How Former Athletes Over 40 Can Reignite Their Passion for Training"

Remember, these titles are just suggestions to get you started. Feel free to customize them or use them as inspiration to create catchy and actionable blog posts for your audience of over 40 former athletes.
It would have taken me at least 5 minutes to brainstorm on these titles. It took ChatGPT a matter of seconds. Look for the prompt in next week’s Pulse to take this to the next level.

Q. What should media should I use for my fitness business?
A. When it comes to your fitness business, the social media platforms you should use depend on your target audience and goals (see Issue 25 for creating your Ideal Client). For visually showcasing your fitness expertise and sharing workout videos, go for Instagram. Facebook is great for building a community through groups and pages. YouTube works well for longer workout videos and educational content. And if you're targeting a younger audience or want to try influencer marketing, give TikTok a shot. Understanding your audience and their preferred platforms will help you make the right choice for your fitness business. No matter which platform you choose, I strongly suggest you focus on just that platform. Build your audience there, learn the do’s and don’ts of the platform then consider adding another service.

Every year in July, I take two weeks to travel to the UK and work the British Open (known as “The Open” in Europe). This year I will be a member of the Player Assist team, walking with one of the top golfers at the tournament. Why do I do this? I learned the importance of work/life after my Mom died. Two of my passions in life are travel and golf. Working at The Open allows me to do both at the same time. I also take the flight time from San Diego to the UK to watch a few LinkedIn learning courses (if you haven’t tried them yet, you are missing out), clean out old photos on my phone, and catch up on my Audible list of books that keeps growing. How do you balance your work and life?
