JOIN THE CLUB: The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT book launch

First off, a huge thank you to everyone who grabbed a copy of The Fitness Professionals Guide to ChatGPT this week!

I’m absolutely blown away by your support. If I could give you all a high five (or even a low five, because, let’s be honest, I’m still working on my flexibility), I would! 🙌

As we gear up for the back-to-school season (and college football), I’ve been thinking: What if we did something a little different to keep this momentum going?

Why a Book Club Instead of a Launch Team?

Here’s the deal: Books aren’t just something you release and hope for the best. They’re like your kids heading back to school—full of potential, but they need the proper support to shine truly. And while some books fade away faster than my enthusiasm for an early morning workout, others become bestsellers.

The difference? A plan and a solid community behind them.

That’s where you come in.

As someone who’s been there for me (and, let’s face it, possibly laughed at my bad jokes along the way), I’d love for you to join this special group I’m putting together. It’s not just about launching a book; it’s about building something meaningful together.

Introducing: The #FOT Book Club! 🎒

Instead of just being part of a launch, I want you to be part of something bigger—a community that’s all about learning, growing, and, of course, having a bit of fun.  Just what is #FOT? It’s the Friend of Ted hashtag on all social media!

Here’s what’s in store:

Here’s What You Get as a Member:

  • A FREE signed author bookplate of the book: The first 50 members get a signed bookplate for you to add to the front cover of your printed book (my handwriting is almost legible, promise).

  • Private Facebook Group: Join fellow fitness pros as we discuss the book, share insights, and maybe exchange a few fitness tech survival tips.

  • Author Livestream Replay: I just finished my pre-launch Livestream. Did you miss it? Let me send you the replay link. I shared some good nuggets and talked about how you can write your own book using ChatGPT.

  • Direct Interaction with me and the team! Along with Nina (what do you mean you haven’t met Nina), we will be right there with you, talking about the book, sharing ideas, and ensuring you get the most out of it.

  • And More! (Because who doesn’t love a little mystery?)

Here’s How You Can Join:

To be part of this exclusive group, here’s what I’m asking

  • Read the book ASAP once you receive it (bonus points for speed readers).

  • Provide feedback and engage with us on social media (I promise to do my best to reply with more than just emojis).

  • Leave an honest review on Amazon or wherever you prefer (but if you could make it a good one, I wouldn’t complain).

  • Help spread the word about the book (don’t worry, I’ll equip you with some fun ideas to make it easy).

If you’re interested, just click here to apply to join the #FOT Book Club. I’d love you to join us as we take this book to the top of the class!

Thanks again for all your support. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next!

With gratitude (and maybe a bit of nervous excitement),

Ted

P.S. If you’re still on the fence about joining, know that being part of this club gives you bragging rights at the next fitness conference. Just saying. 😉 #FOT

P.P.S. I have your back if you want to support the effort, but your bookcase is too full (trust me, I get it). You can purchase a copy of the book on Amazon and send it to the Kinesiology Department at Tulane, where one of my students will get your physical copy. Send from your Amazon account to Dr. Lanie Dornier- Kinesiology, Tulane University, 6823 St. Charles Ave, 204 Richardson Building, New Orleans, LA 70118
